Network Coordinator

We are looking for a freelance Network Coordinator which want to work on a long term assignment at our client in Brussels (next to the train station).

Ideally someone who was hands on (as a network/System engineer) & has (junior/medior) experience in Coordination especially in large organisations

Network Coordinator

As a Network Coordinator, you are responsible for the coordination, planning, follow-up, and delivery of new network and network security projects with our service providers and internal stakeholders. Additionally, you will handle incidents and requests related to the network

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and oversee required actions for project delivery with network service providers.
• Act as a Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for network projects.
• Collaborate closely with the IT Program Manager and network architect on various projects.
• Develop project plans, including test and migration plans.
• Generate, track, and deliver reports for project managers and stakeholders.
• Organize project-related meetings and events, take notes, prepare reports, and maintain standard project documentation.
• Ensure compliance with standards, processes, procedures, work instructions, and regulations within the IT business.
• Handle incidents and requests related to network infrastructure.

Technical Skills & Experience:

• Strong understanding of TCP/IP and ISO models.
• Familiarity with routing protocols such as OSPF and BGP.
• Knowledge of WAN technologies like MPLS, IP VPN, and VRF.
• Experience with LAN, 802.1X, and Radius.
• Proficiency in WLAN, including analyzing and managing site network infrastructure.
• Expertise in DDI and firewalling.
• Proficient in using MS Project and MS Excel for reporting and planning.

Soft Skills & Experience:

• A master’s degree or an IT bachelor’s degree with 10+ years of experience in a similar IT role.
• Strong time and self-management skills.
• Self-discipline and autonomy as part of your work ethic.
• Ability to meet deadlines and handle a heavy workload.
• End-user centric approach.
• Proven project management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with a team-oriented mindset.
• Experience working with public enterprises is an advantage.
• Ability to partner effectively with service providers, third-party teams, and vendors.
• Fluent in Dutch, French, and English, both oral and written.
• Skilled at building relationships across organizations.
