Malwarebytes is looking for...

We are looking for skilled engineers with expertise in designing, building, and optimizing cloud-based systems to support our subscription management, payment processing, and related services. You'll join a collaborative, inclusive team of engineers, UX designers, and product managers, playing a vital role in technical decision-making, performance improvements, and application development.

What You’ll Do

  • Design and implement scalable, production-ready APIs, database models, and schemas for core applications
  • Contribute to the design of cloud infrastructure with a focus on performance, scalability, and reliability
  • Write and review high-quality, maintainable code that aligns with long-term business needs
  • Support fellow engineers through collaboration, documentation, unit testing, and peer reviews
  • Collaborate across engineering teams to identify performance enhancements and scalability improvements

Skills You’ll Need To Have

  • 5+ years of professional experience with TypeScript, Node.js, and Ruby
  • Proficiency in cloud product development, including schema design, data modeling, and optimization
  • Experience with Ruby on Rails or Grape, and familiarity with relational databases such as PostgreSQL and MySQL
  • Familiarity with AWS technologies (ECS, Lambda, S3, SQS, DynamoDB) for cloud application development
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions) for reliable and efficient deployments
  • Solid understanding of REST and GraphQL principles, with familiarity in API scalability and WebSockets
  • Problem-solving attitude and willingness to contribute to projects that support Malwarebytes' success
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field, or equivalent experience

Nice To Have Skills

  • Experience with front-end frameworks such as React.
  • Knowledge of tools for build, packaging, and deployment, like Webpack, Vite, npm, yarn, Docker, and Jenkins
