To support the Dubai Financial Services Authority (DFSA) in meeting their guiding principles of efficiency and effectiveness in the areas of project management through supporting and contributing to the Project Management Office and the support of key strategic projects, and to support the COO office and work related to developing DFSA’s strategy.


  • Support and contribute to the Project Management Office (PMO) with the delivery of key DFSA projects in adherence with effective and robust project management methodology to structure, define, plan and deliver projects within agreed timelines and budget.
  • Help to define and maintain the DFSA project management methodology to be applied to key strategic projects and maintain appropriate templates to support project initiation, planning, delivery and reporting.
  • Report project related risks and ensure timely and effective reporting to key stakeholders as to project progress and significant issues and risks
  • Contribute to and maintain the DFSA’s body of project management knowledge to be made available to all staff to assist in planning and delivering projects not falling within the PMO remit and raise project management knowledge and competency within the organisation.
  • Deliver on an annual basis project management training to DFSA staff.
  • Assist with general advice and support related to project management and project planning and delivery.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Accredited Project Management Certification, is a strong preference

Minimum Experience:

  • 8 years of relevant experience in a similar role in project management or management consulting in either government sector, national or international organisations, preferably with exposure to financial services.
  • Previous experience of financial services regulation preferred.

Knowledge, Skills & Attributes:

  • Practical experience in project management delivery across all phases of the project lifecycle.
  • Expertise in establishing and maintaining project management control and governance environments and managing change
  • Technical skills with project planning tools and systems
  • Strong presentation and communication skills
  • Lateral thinking, logical, process driven, thinks outside the box, innovative, creative
  • Strategy formulation, implementation and business planning beneficial
