Strøm AS has been importing wine to Norway since 1921. For more than a century, we have been dedicated to sourcing and representing wines that resonate with Norwegian consumers, enabling them to explore and engage with the world of wine. Today, Strøm is part of Anora Group, a pan-Nordic company listed on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.

We are now seeking a Senior Brand Manager to strengthen our team. This role carries overall responsibility for the strategic development and performance of Strøm’s portfolio across both on-trade and off-trade channels. The Senior Brand Manager will lead brand positioning and activation through relevant channels, act as a senior point of contact for producers within Strøm’s portfolio, and drive long-term portfolio growth. The role requires close collaboration with key internal stakeholders and external partners to ensure strong commercial execution, brand integrity, and sustainable growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and further develop a substantial portfolio, including several of our key producers
  • Develop and implement strategic portfolio plans in close collaboration with producers
  • Take overall responsibility for producer follow-up and cooperation with external partners
  • Develop brand, portfolio, and activity plans tailored to the Norwegian market
  • Work actively, systematically, and strategically with tenders and public procurement processes
  • Build and expand a strong network of new and relevant suppliers
  • Participate regularly in national and international wine fairs to maintain and develop relationships with suppliers, journalists, and Vinmonopolet
  • Conduct market and product analyses to ensure a competitive and well-balanced portfolio
  • Drive product and concept development based on market and consumer insights
  • Act as project manager for selected innovation projects and new product launches
  • Maintain end-to-end control of the value chain, including pricing, forecasting, logistics, and inventory management
  • Ensure ongoing budget follow-up and financial performance monitoring

Qualifications And Personal Attributes

You hold a relevant higher education degree and have a minimum of 3–5 years of relevant experience within the wine industry. Strong wine knowledge is essential, and formal qualifications such as Sommelier certification or WSET education are highly desirable. You have solid experience with Vinmonopolet’s tender processes and can demonstrate successful tender wins.

Experience with product and concept development, including private label (own brand) projects or similar initiatives, is considered an advantage.

We are looking for a relationship-oriented professional who is confident in engaging with new people and partners, and who demonstrates strong drive and commitment. You combine solid analytical skills with the ability to leverage market and consumer insights, and you bring a curious, proactive, and strategic mindset to managing a complex portfolio over the long term.

To succeed in this role, you must communicate clearly and professionally, both verbally and in writing, in Norwegian and English. Proficiency in Italian is an advantage.

The position involves regular travel, both domestically and internationally, and therefore flexibility is required. A valid Class B driving licence and access to a car are mandatory.
