Overview
Our client is seeking a Director of Business Development to drive strategic growth through new partnerships, market expansion, and revenue-generating initiatives. This role will be responsible for identifying, developing, and executing business development strategies that align with company objectives and accelerate long-term growth. The ideal candidate is a results-driven leader with strong commercial acumen, relationship-building expertise, and experience operating in fast-paced, high-growth environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development and execution of business development strategies to drive new revenue opportunities and market expansion.
- Identify, evaluate, and pursue strategic partnerships, alliances, and new customer segments.
- Own the end-to-end business development lifecycle, from prospecting and deal structuring to negotiation and contract execution.
- Collaborate closely with Sales, Marketing, Product, and Finance teams to align growth initiatives with organizational priorities.
- Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and potential risks.
- Build and maintain strong executive-level relationships with partners, clients, and key stakeholders.
- Develop business cases, pricing models, and go-to-market strategies for new initiatives.
- Track and report on business development performance, pipeline, and ROI against defined growth targets.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of business development professionals, fostering a high-performance, results-oriented culture.
Operating Context
- Operates in a dynamic, growth-oriented environment with evolving markets and revenue models.
- Works cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, Product, Finance, and Leadership teams to drive strategic initiatives.
- Engages with external partners, customers, and industry stakeholders at a senior level.
- May manage distributed or remote teams and requires strong virtual collaboration skills.

- Proven experience in business development, partnerships, or strategic growth roles.
- Strong understanding of go-to-market strategies, deal structuring, and revenue models.

- Strong analytical skills with experience evaluating market data and business performance.
- Demonstrated leadership and team management capabilities.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and influencing skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in business development, partnerships, or related leadership roles.
- Experience in SaaS, technology, B2B, or high-growth environments.
- Background working with enterprise clients, strategic partners, or channel ecosystems.
- Familiarity with CRM systems and pipeline management tools.
- Experience managing remote or globally distributed teams.
