Network Engineer

Required Skills:
- Identify incident patterns and drive for problem resolution.
- Drive continuous improvements of the networking service, drive automation to manage the scale and continue to optimize the efforts through appropriate tooling and automation.
- Respond to high priority incidents, troubleshoot with engineers from various groups, gather and provide forensic data for security-based incidents, and create post-mortem documentation as needed.
- Provide technical expertise to perform root cause analysis of service interrupting incidents; develop and implement strategies to prevent recurrence.
Qualifications
- Experience in networking technologies driving large scale, date driven projects is highly desirable.
- In-depth experience with TCP/IP and packet sniffers
- Working knowledge of BGP, OSPF
- Experience with the following technologies must have, Routing & Switching
- Configuring Routers / Switches / Firewalls / Load balancers
- Strong working experience on Cisco / Juniper / F5 / Arista platforms
- Experience with Networking OS, including EOS, IOS, IOS-XR, NXOS, JUNOS and SONiC
- Understanding of MPLS, L3 VPNs and VRFs, STP, HSRP, CDP, UDLD
- Using existing procedures and tooling, develop and safely complete network changes
- Participate in operational rotations providing break-fix support
- Identifying actionable incidents using monitoring systems, strong analytical problem-solving skills to mitigate network events/incidents, and following up on routine root cause analysis (RCA), coordinating with support teams and vendors
- Provide on-call support services as needed, job duties are varied and complex, needing independent judgment (nights, weekends, holidays)
