JOB DESCRIPTION:

• We wish to strengthen the team with a UX/UI designer who will help his colleague in creating user-friendly, attractive and functional digital experiences. You will work closely with the team's UX/UI designer, as well as with the various technical and functional teams to understand the needs and translate them into intuitive and innovative design solutions. You are an expert in your field and have a positive influence on the design and development process by providing expertise, insight and creative solutions.

We see the following concrete tasks:

* Designing and iterating wireframs, prototypes and visual interfaces that meet the expectations of the users.

* Performing usability testing to gain insights and inform design decisions.

* Collaborate with business and IT to determine the UX/UI of the software.

* Monitoring consistency in design and branding.

* Translating complex problems into simple and elegant solutions that improve the user experience.

* Ensure that user feedback is integrated into all phases of the design and development process.

* Applying modern UX/UI methodologies to make products accessible, inclusive and easy to use.

• Higher education (Master or Bachelor) with technical/engineering background or equivalent through experience with ICT technology for which expertise is
• required Demonstrable experience for the technology in question or a similar technology
• Language requirement: Dutch at European CEFR - level C2

Must‑have

• Proven experience in creating designs with design tools (Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, InVision, etc.)
• Demonstrable knowledge and experience with responsive screen design
• Applying modern UX/UI methodologies to create software that is accessible, inclusive, and easy to use
• Proven experience in designing and iterating wireframes, prototypes, and visual interfaces that meet user expectations
• Demonstrable experience with Figma, InVision, and/or InDesign
• Demonstrable experience in setting up and maintaining design systems
• Proven experience with the technology in question or a similar technology – 5 years, Senior
• Language requirement: Dutch at European CEFR level C2

Should‑have

• Demonstrable experience in implementing designs in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
• Demonstrable experience with content design (design of content‑driven pages)
• Higher education (Master or Bachelor) with technical/engineering background or equivalent through experience with ICT technology – Yes

Nice‑to‑have

• Demonstrable experience as a UX designer – 5 years, Senior
• Demonstrable experience in projects at the Flemish government, preferably ministries and where interaction with agencies and cabinets was necessary – Yes
