We are seeking a Software Developer to join our team. In this role, you will design and develop high‑quality software for next‑generation machine control, configuration, and diagnostics solutions for crushing machines. Your contributions will directly shape how our customers operate their equipment and improve productivity and safety.
This position is in Tampere, Finland, and we offer flexible hybrid working arrangements. Due to the nature of the project and frequent need for interaction with the embedded devices, machinery, and other teams, the project team works from the office for a few days per week. The candidate shall also be willing to honor this working arrangement.
What You Will Do
An exciting position in the Automation Solutions team in the Metso Aggregates business area. You will get a chance to work with professionals of the local embedded software professionals, where your team will support your growth. You will have great opportunities to develop your expertise by learning how to develop software for premium heavy machinery and services. Our team of experienced software developers is in Lokomo, Tampere, where we are closely collaborating with the other teams, like automation, engineering, and assembly. We are always looking for ways to improve product and team performance in a measurable way and support team members, colleagues, and customers over individual performance.

We are seeking a Software Developer to join our team. In this role, you will design and develop high‑quality software for next‑generation machine control, configuration, and diagnostics solutions for crushing machines. What You Will Do
- Develop clean and efficient software for our automation solutions of crushing control applications
- Participate in design discussions, code reviews, and cross‑team collaboration.
- Test, debug, and continuously improve the software running on embedded devices.
- Create and maintain clear technical documentation
- An embedded SW enthusiast with a proactive and quality-driven mindset
- Working knowledge of CAN, CANopen, or other field bus protocols
- Highly proficient in C, C++
- Knowledge of C#, Python, and JavaScript will be beneficial
- Skilled in Qt/QML for UI development
- Familiar with Linux systems, writing Bash scripts, and handling firmware-level operations
- Knowledge of software architecture, secure coding, debugging, and testing
- Does not hesitate to get his hands on the hardware
