We are looking for a Frontend Engineer (Mid-level) with solid fundamentals, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to take ownership of features while collaborating closely with engineering, product, and design teams.

About the Position

We are supporting a technology company building high-trust, mission-critical platforms used in regulated and security-sensitive environments. These systems support analytics, simulations, and operational decision-making where clarity, reliability, and usability are critical.

This role is suited for someone who enjoys working with complex data-driven applications and wants to grow their technical ownership and architectural understanding.

About the Project

• Designing and developing frontend components supporting analytical dashboards and decision-support platforms
• Translating complex data, simulations, and analytical outputs into clear and actionable user interfaces
• Building API-driven frontend applications aligned with backend data contracts and system architecture
• Implementing logic for real-time or near-real-time data visualization and interaction
• Handling data-heavy views, state management, and complex interaction patterns
• Collaborating closely with backend engineers, designers, product stakeholders, and technical leadership
• Contributing to frontend standards, best practices, and maintainability
• Identifying usability issues, performance bottlenecks, and technical improvements

What You Bring to the Position

• 3–6 years of professional experience with React and modern component-based frontend development
• At least 3 years of practical experience using TypeScript in production applications
• Solid understanding of modern JavaScript fundamentals
• Experience building data-intensive or dashboard-style applications
• Understanding of API-driven frontend architecture
• Good understanding of performance, state management, and component design
• Experience collaborating with designers and working with design tools such as Figma
• Ability to work independently while collaborating in distributed teams

Nice to Have

• Experience with modern build tooling such as Vite
• Experience with Tailwind CSS or similar styling approaches
• Experience with data visualization libraries (PlotlyJS or similar)
• Experience with frontend testing tools (Playwright or equivalent)
• Experience with GitHub-based workflows and code review practices
• Experience with cloud-based frontend delivery (AWS S3, CloudFront or similar)
• Experience with frontend observability and error tracking tools (e.g. Sentry)
• Understanding of security and data-sensitivity considerations in frontend applications

Remote & Work Model

• Remote-first role within the Portugal
• Occasional client on-site presence may be required
• No visa sponsorship available
