Portugal · Internship · Not Applicable

Ready to lead, disrupt and reinvent the sleep industry?

We are Emma – The Sleep Company. Founded in 2015, we’ve become the world’s largest D2C sleep brand, available in over 35 countries with more than 25 stores across Europe. Recommended by leading consumer associations in EMEA, APAC, and the Americas, we develop the best sleep comfort products that empower our customers to awaken their best every day.

At Emma, we are a community of smart, driven people, united by a strong culture of collaboration, teamwork, and knowledge sharing. We think big, take ownership, and are empowered to drive meaningful impact. Through hands-on experience, mentorship, and continuous learning, we drive our own growth and learning. With Emmies from over 60 nationalities and offices across multiple regions, our diverse perspectives enrich our workplace culture. Ready to shape the future of sleep with us? Let’s make it happen!

What you'll do:

  • You will support the design of Emma’s global online store experience, helping us become the world’s leading sleep brand through intuitive, joyful, and high-performing user journeys
  • You will contribute to UX research initiatives — from user interviews and usability tests to heuristic evaluations and competitor analyses — to uncover insights that guide product decisions
  • You will participate in designing user flows, wireframes, and interface concepts that help customers confidently choose the right sleep products
  • You will support the setup, execution, and analysis of A/B tests to optimize conversion rates and improve key business KPIs
  • You will collaborate closely with product managers, developers, analysts, and other designers as part of an agile, empowered product team
  • You will help maintain and evolve our design system by creating new components, improving documentation, and ensuring visual consistency
  • You will gain hands-on experience working with a modern e-commerce design workflow across research, UX, UI, experimentation, and cross-functional collaboration

Who we're looking for:

  • You are available to start 1st of March 2026
  • You are currently pursuing or have recently completed a degree in UX/UI Design, Human–Computer Interaction, Digital Product Design, Psychology, Communication Design, or a related field
  • You have a solid foundation in UX design principles, user-centered design methods, and digital product design processes
  • You have basic hands-on experience with design tools such as Figma (or similar) and feel comfortable creating wireframes, prototypes, and UI layouts
  • You are genuinely curious about user behavior, research methodologies, and data-informed design decisions
  • You ideally have some initial exposure to A/B testing, analytics tools, or CRO practices, or you show a strong willingness to learn them
  • You are open-minded, creative, and motivated to collaborate within a cross-functional product team
  • You are able to receive feedback openly, iterate on designs, and adapt quickly to new insights
  • You have strong attention to detail and a clear motivation to continuously improve your design skills through hands-on experience

What we offer:

  • A competitive Package of 1250€ monthly (including meal allowance and Coverflex benefits)
  • Employee discount on Emma products for yourself, friends and family (applicable in all EU markets)
  • Private health insurance including dental care
  • In-house Portuguese classes from beginner to advanced level
  • A combination of personal and company growth to accelerate your career and help you reach your goals
  • The chance to work on exciting and challenging projects either independently or as part of a dedicated, international team
  • Responsibility and decision-making authority from day one—you'll create an impact with new, innovative ideas and help shape our company DNA
  • To work and learn from experts in diverse fields and get to know your team members at exciting company events
