Data Scientist / GenAI / Machine Learning Engineer

Our client is a Multi-national consultancy. They have an immediate and urgent requirement for an experienced Data Scientist / GEN A.I. Machine Learning Engineer to join a programme for a leading international Financial House.

The role involves working closely with data science teams to deploy GenAI and analytics models into production within a Databricks environment, operating under DevOps, and expanding into Azure ML for GenAI use cases. Responsibilities include contributing to the full development lifecycle and ensuring sustainable, high-quality solutions. Candidates should have 3+ years' experience as a technical data specialist (ML engineer, data engineer or data scientist), be strong team players, and challenge the status quo with an entrepreneurial, analytical, and pragmatic mindset. Key technical skills include solid experience with Azure, Databricks, Python/PySpark, Git, and CI/CD pipelines (ideally in Azure DevOps). Knowledge of Python libraries (such as scikit-learn, pandas, mlflow), SQL or PySpark, Azure Machine Learning, and building data pipelines using Airflow or Databricks Pipelines is required. Agile/Scrum experience is a plus.

The client requires candidates who speak fluent Portuguese and English. Applicants MUST be able to attend the client site at least once per week. The sites are in Lisbon and Porto. You can choose which one you attend.
