Software Engineer II, Embedded, Fitbit Device Software

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 1 year of experience with software development in one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, C, C++, Java, JavaScript).
• 1 year of experience with data structures and algorithms.
• 1 year of experience in working with embedded operating systems.
  
  

Preferred qualifications:

• Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related field or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience in developing software for embedded systems.
• Knowledge of one or more of the following (e.g., device drivers, System on a chip (SoC), micro-controllers, Linux, FreeRTOS, ZephyrOS, NuttX).

Responsibilities

• Develop and enable new product features in embedded software.
• Design and implement system technologies, such as data management and transport.
• Write drivers and support for hardware or peripherals.
• Create user interfaces, collaborate with the User Interface/User Experience (UI/UX) designers.
