Job description

We are looking for a passionate and hands-on QA Engineer (Mobile) who believes quality starts early — at design, not at release. You will take ownership of the mobile quality process end-to-end and ensure reliability across both iOS and Android platforms.

Key Responsibilities

End-to-End Ownership:

• Own the QA lifecycle for features from story grooming and requirement clarification to post-release validation.
• Clarify acceptance criteria, identify risks early and challenge assumptions proactively.
• Ensure issues are not just detected, but followed through to resolution.

Execution:

• Design, execute, and maintain functional, regression, exploratory, and API tests on iOS and Android.
• Test across real devices and device farms to ensure coverage across OS versions, screen sizes, and network conditions.
• Validate backend behaviors using SQL queries and REST API tests.

Technical Contribution:

• Analyze logs, crashes, and performance indicators using tools such as Sentry, Firebase Performance, Dynatrace, or similar.
• Read and understand Kotlin/Java/Swift code paths when debugging or verifying behavior.
• Contribute to automation initiatives and QA process improvements.

Collaboration:

• Actively participate in planning, grooming, 3 Amigos sessions, and sprint ceremonies.
• Work closely with developers, product managers, and designers to reduce ambiguity early.
• Communicate risks, edge cases, and quality insights clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Continuous Improvement:

• Contribute to improving test strategies, coverage, and QA standards.
• Identify gaps in process or tooling and propose pragmatic improvements.

What We’re Looking For

• 3+ years in software QA, ideally within fintech or mobile-first products.
• Understanding of mobile app lifecycle (APK/IPA, release cycles, OS behaviors, crash analysis).
• SQL, Git, REST API testing, basic code literacy (Java/Kotlin/Swift), CI/CD familiarity.
• Strong ownership — question assumptions, challenge unclear requirements, and follow issues to completion.
• Excellent English, able to articulate risks and scenarios clearly.
• Exposure to contract testing tools (Pact, schema validation).
• Experience with performance profiling tools (Firebase Performance, Xcode Instruments, Android Profiler, JMeter).
• Experience with device farms (BrowserStack, Firebase Test Lab).
• Familiarity with scripting or automation languages (Java, Python, JavaScript).
• Experience with monitoring & crash analytics (Sentry, Dynatrace, Datadog).
