We are seeking a committed and structured Senior Infrastructure & Security Expert to take ownership of day-to-day IT operations, infrastructure, and services. Reporting directly to the CIO, you will translate business needs into robust solutions and drive improvements to successful completion. This is an international role that demands strong cross-functional collaboration and excellent English communication skills.

In this role, you will be responsible for approximately 300 users across in Europe and Australia. The server infrastructure is locally hosted onsite at our facility in Poland.

Your tasks

✓ Manage host, operation and maintenance of own servers and virtual environments (e.g.Proxmox/ VMware).

✓ Backup/restore with a focus on 3-2-1 principles and regular testing. (e.g. VEEAM).

✓ Network and firewall: setup, segmentation, VPN, rules, and ongoing maintenance.

✓ Microsoft-platforms: Entra ID/Azure AD, Intune, Defender, Exchange Online, SharePoint og Teams.

✓ Endpoint and patch management, monitoring, and incident response (MDR).

✓ Ensure optimal use of licenses for software and users.

✓ IT governance with a special focus on NIS2 compliance + GDPR (with support from a security specialist).

✓ User support and service improvements.

✓ Support the business's ongoing need for IT support.

✓ Phone solutions with queue management and call forwarding.

✓ Expect occasional travel, mainly across Europe.

Responsibilities

✓ Operations and stability: Ensure high uptime and performance for servers, networks, and core applications across multiple locations/countries.

✓ Security and compliance: Own the operational part of cybersecurity, including compliance with NIS2 and related risk management, supplier management, and reporting in close collaboration with the CIO. --> (with support from a security specialist)

✓ Team & collaboration: Coordinate internal and external suppliers and support users and super users in the business.

✓ Changes and projects: Plan and execute changes, upgrades, and deployments with minimal operational disruption.

✓ Standards and documentation: Establish and maintain clear standards, processes, and operational documentation.

From the profile

✓ Relevant education and at least 4–5 years of experience in the operation of IT infrastructure. Preferably from an international context.

✓ Strong experience with the Microsoft ecosystem both cloud (Entra ID/Azure AD, Intune, M365/Defender, etc.) and on-prem (Active Directory, WSUS, RADIUS, DFS, and more)

✓ Understanding of cybersecurity and regulations (especially NIS2) as well as practical risk management and supplier management in operations. (NICE TO HAVE)

✓ Routine in networks and firewalls, backup, monitoring and script/automation (e.g. PowerShell).

✓ You are systematic, communicate clearly in English, and thrive in the role of link between business and technology.
