Fullstack Engineer for an AI-native accounting company

Accounting software today is forms, menus, and frustration. We're building something else.

You say what you need. AI does it. Not a chatbot that explains how to post a transaction. An AI that posts it and knows what to do next.

This is category defining work. Most AI features are simple wrappers around third party APIs. We're building the engine underneath: a multi agent system that actually does accounting work, autonomously.

We have a working product and great feedback from users. Now we need someone to take it from "works" to "scales."

You'll work across the stack, shipping features end-to-end. We have a dedicated frontend developer, so your focus is on everything behind the interface: APIs, integrations, AI capabilities, and the glue that connects it all.

You will:

• Build features from database to API to integration
• Create new AI-powered capabilities and tools
• Ship integrations with accounting systems and partners
• Turn quick experiments into production features
• Move fast and own what you build

You have:

• 3+ years experience with TypeScript and Node.js
• Solid PostgreSQL skills
• Hands-on experience with generative AI – in production or serious side projects
• The ability to context-switch and work across the stack
• A bias toward shipping

Big plus:

• You build things on the side – tools, experiments, products
• Experience with MCP, tool calling, or agent patterns
• You've integrated LLMs into real applications
• Familiarity with Norwegian APIs (Altinn, BankID, accounting systems)
• Experience with GCP

• Emerging frameworks and tools in the agentic AI space
• REST APIs, WebSocket
