Engineering Manager

Responsibilities

• Empower and enable the engineering teams to deliver outstanding results and build quality products, with accountability over the product quality, security, and performance;
• Help shape and improve the product development process, representing engineering by communicating technical constraints, opportunities, and solutions;
• Conduct regular training and coaching engagements;
• Build and maintain a culture of excellence, mentorship, and collaboration;
• Identify hiring needs, training and career progressions;
• Ensure domains follow the best engineering practices, including reliability and performance of all internal systems;
• Directly manage the relationship with Product and Business as main stakeholders to the domain;
• Line manage several engineering teams as well as the engineering strategy within the domain;
• Conduct technical risks management, and adjust the priorities and team execution accordingly.

Requirements

• 5 years or more of experience in software development, supporting the design and development of large-scale, distributed software applications - OOP and SOLID principles;
• 5 years or more in managing engineering teams doing product development;
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to manage multiple teams and individuals simultaneously;
• Strong leadership qualities;
• Extensive experience with software development processes and agile methodologies;
• Leadership abilities with a strategic mindset;
• Excellent management skills;
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills;
• Good communication, presentation, and negotiation skills;
• Highly motivated and detail-oriented individual;
• Ability to understand existing codebase and expand to new product requirements;
• English intermediate (B1).

Nice to have

• BSc/MSc in Engineering, Computer Science or relevant field
