Senior Software Engineer

Senior Backend Software Engineer – C#/.NET – Ireland

GemPool’s client is looking to hire multiple Senior Software Engineers with strong C# and .NET experience to work on a web-based application. You will join a small development team using Agile methodologies, working on a business-critical application.

Role: Permanent, Full-Time

Location: Remote within Ireland

Requirements:

• At least 5 years’ experience in web development using C#/.NET
• Experience working on and supporting large-scale production applications
• Strong REST API development and integration experience
• Experience with relational databases + SQL
• Experience working in an Agile environment and with continuous deployment methodologies
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
• Degree in Computer Science or similar
• Some experience with Docker & Terraform

Nice to Have:

• Experience with PostgreSQL or other relational databases
• Practical experience with AI/ML integration
• End-to-end web development experience
• UI development skills (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, TypeScript, Blazor or Angular)
• Proven track record in designing and delivering web applications
• Experience using Git
• Experience working on business-critical applications
• Actively contributing to an open-source project
