Senior Python Backend Engineer (Cloud & DevSecOps)

Fujitsu is looking for a Senior Python Backend Engineer to design, build, and secure scalable server-side systems that support mission-critical web applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect and develop server-side components using Python best practices
• Design and maintain RESTful APIs for front-end and system integrations
• Design, optimize, and secure database schemas and queries
• Implement scalable, cloud-ready architectures using containers and orchestration
• Improve application performance by identifying and resolving bottlenecks
• Apply secure coding standards, authentication, authorization, and encryption
• Conduct code reviews and vulnerability assessments
• Collaborate within a DevSecOps environment using CI/CD pipelines

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong expertise in Python and frameworks such as Django, Flask, or FastAPI
• Solid experience with RESTful API design
• Strong database experience (Oracle, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Elasticsearch)
• Excellent knowledge of ORM, schema design, and query optimization
• Hands-on experience with Docker / Podman and Kubernetes
• Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions)
• Knowledge of secure coding practices and vulnerability scanning tools (OWASP)
• Experience with Linux and virtual machine management
• Familiarity with Git / SVN and configuration tools such as Ansible
• Experience using AI-powered code assistants (e.g. GitHub Copilot, Amazon Q) is a plus
