Your new role
This is a 6‑month contract opportunity where you will join a team of software engineers responsible for enhancing and maintaining an enterprise Video Management System used internationally. Your work will cover the full software development lifecycle, applying agile methodologies to deliver product improvements. You will collaborate with colleagues across development, user experience, testing, and quality functions, while also providing responsive support to customers and contributing to process compliance and defect resolution.

What you'll need to succeed

• Strong background in developing customer-facing applications using the modern .NET web stack
  
• Proficiency in C#, ASP.NET, SQL/T-SQL, and the MVVM pattern
  
• Experience building web applications with HTML5, CSS, and JavaScript frameworks or vanilla implementations
  
• Solid grasp of SOLID principles and test-driven development practices
  
• Ability to design scalable, maintainable, and high-performance software solutions
  
• Beneficial experience with large-scale front-end applications using KnockoutJS or Typescript
  
• Familiarity with web media processing technologies such as WebAssembly, WebCodecs, WebAudio, MediaSource Extensions (MSE), and WebWorkers
  
• Skills in profiling and optimising high-performance code
  
• Experience working within agile delivery environments
  
• Relevant tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent
  
• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills, with a collaborative and proactive approach
  
• Effective communication skills and attention to detail
