We’re partnering with a company based in Austin, TX that is hiring a Head of AI & Data Science for a newly created, highly hands-on leadership role.This person will play a critical part in designing, building, and deploying AI agents across the business while partnering closely with senior stakeholders to translate real business needs into scalable AI solutions.

This is an opportunity for someone who enjoys coding, building, and implementing, not just setting strategy from a distance.

What You’ll Do

• Lead the selection, development, and deployment of AI agents across the organization
• Personally code and implement AI agents (Python-focused)
• Oversee end-to-end AI initiatives, from concept through rollout and adoption
• Partner closely with business leaders to translate requirements into AI-driven solutions
• Lead AI and data science efforts including a pricing engine and broader engineering-focused AI projects
• Help define AI strategy, governance, ROI measurement, and best practices across the company

What We’re Looking For

• Proven experience building and implementing AI agents
• Strong Python coding background (hands-on, not just oversight)
• Experience overseeing AI agent deployment in production environments
• Ability to communicate effectively with both technical teams and business leaders
• Comfortable operating in a fast-moving, build-and-ship environment

Compensation

• $160,000 – $180,000 base salary (W2)
• 10–15% annual bonus
