Responsibilities:

• Formulate and oversee the implementation of AI strategies aligned with the company's objectives and client needs, ensuring the development of cutting-edge AI solutions.
• Lead key projects with Research & Development to support business goals.
• Develop research programs incorporating current developments to improve existing products and study the potential of new products.
• Understand customer expectations on to-be manufactured products.
• Determine and execute improved technologies used by suppliers, competitors, and customers.
• Support the Director to hire and develop Research & Development personnel.
• Establish project goals and priorities by collaborating with Marketing and Operations.
• Transfer new technologies, products, and manufacturing processes into and out of the company.
• Research, design and evaluate materials, assemblies, processes, and equipment.
• Monitor team metrics and objectives ensuring the meeting of goals.
• Lead complex AI projects from conception to deployment.
• Communicate research findings and project updates to stakeholders, executives, and clients.
• Establish and enforce best practices for AI development, including ethical and sustainable AI practices.
• Oversee end-to-end project lifecycles, including research, development, testing, and deployment.
• Provide technical guidance and ensure continuous skill development within the team.
• Build, lead, and mentor a team of developers, engineers, and data scientists, fostering collaboration and skill development within the team.
• Define project goals, priorities, and success metrics for AI initiatives.
• Prepare and present reports on Research & Development activities, progress, and outcomes to senior management.
• Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure the successful delivery of Research & Development projects.
• Stay up to date with the latest advancements in AI and share knowledge with internal teams and clients, promoting AI best practices and methodologies.
• Lead the exploration of new AI technologies, techniques, and methodologies to solve complex business problems and provide innovative solutions to clients.

Qualification & Experience:

Bachelor’s degree or master’s degree in such as computing, computer science, information technology, software development or software engineering.

PhD certification is a plus.

12+ years of professional experience in the relevant field.

Proficiency in using tools and software for managing Research & Development projects.

Familiarity with frameworks and tools for driving innovation

Ability to manage budgets and allocate resources effectively.

Strong background in the relevant scientific or technical fields related to the industry.

• Strong publication record in leading AI conferences/journals.
• Experience in fostering innovation and managing the development of new products and technologies.
• Expertise in planning, executing, and managing complex Research & Development projects.
• Strong understanding of research methodologies and their application in product development.
• Excellent communication skills in English and Arabic, with the ability to present complex ideas clearly and persuasively
