PHP Developer

Forte Group is looking for a PHP / Laravel Developer to join a fast-paced development environment and contribute to building and maintaining scalable web applications and backend services. This role combines hands-on backend development, API design, and system integration. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams - including product managers, frontend developers, QA engineers, and architects - to deliver reliable, high-performing solutions while continuously growing your technical expertise.

Role Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain backend functionality using PHP and Laravel based on business
• requirements.
• Ensure code quality, performance, security, and compliance with best practices and coding
• standards.
• Develop and maintain RESTful APIs and backend services to support web and mobile applications.
• Work with databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL or similar): schema design, query optimization, and
• data integrity.
• Integrate applications with third-party services such as payment providers, CRM/ERP systems, and
• external APIs.
• Participate in code reviews, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.

Role Requirements:

• 3+ years of hands-on experience with PHP development.
• Strong experience with Laravel framework (routing, Eloquent ORM, queues, jobs, middleware).
• Solid understanding of OOP principles, design patterns, and SOLID practices.
• Experience building and consuming RESTful APIs.
• Hands-on experience with relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL) and query optimization.
• Familiarity with authentication/authorization mechanisms (JWT, OAuth, Laravel Sanctum/Passport).
• Experience with Git-based version control and collaborative development workflows.
• Ability to work independently in an agile environment, with strong skills in problem-solving,
• prioritization, multitasking, and collaboration.
• Strong communication skills in English (B1+).

We consider a plus:

• Experience with frontend technologies such as Vue.js or React.
• Knowledge of Docker and containerized environments.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing.
• Experience working with microservices architecture or event-driven systems.
• Exposure to AI-powered services or integrations with external ML/AI APIs.
