About the Organisation

We are a technology-led business operating large-scale, real-time platforms used by hundreds of thousands of users globally. Our systems process extremely high volumes of data and transactions and are designed to be fast, resilient, and highly reliable.

The organisation combines deep technical expertise with a strong commercial mindset, operating in a fast-paced, high-performance environment. We build infrastructure that is trusted at institutional scale while remaining accessible and user-focused.

About the Role

You will join an Infrastructure / DevOps team responsible for mission-critical, always-on distributed systems. These systems are ultra-low latency, highly available, and operate at significant scale.

This role sits at the intersection of DevOps, Platform Engineering, and Developer Experience. You will help design and operate the tooling, platforms, and workflows that enable engineers to build, test, deploy, and run applications efficiently across a hybrid environment spanning self-hosted infrastructure and public cloud.

This is a hands-on, high-impact role where reliability, automation, and engineering productivity are core priorities.

What You’ll Do

  • Platform Enablement: Design, build, and maintain internal tools and workflows that improve developer productivity across CI/CD, testing, and observability.
  • Developer Experience (DevEx): Automate and streamline deployment pipelines to enable fast, safe, and reliable releases.
  • Infrastructure Automation: Build and scale Kubernetes-based infrastructure using Infrastructure-as-Code best practices in a cloud environment.
  • Operational Excellence: Monitor, troubleshoot, and maintain system health using modern observability and alerting tooling.
  • System Reliability: Optimise performance and availability for high-throughput, low-latency services.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with engineers and SREs, participate in on-call rotations, incident reviews, and cross-team initiatives.
  • Security & Compliance: Contribute to secure-by-design systems and operational practices aligned with recognised compliance standards.

What You’ll Bring

  • 2–4 years’ experience in DevOps, SRE, or platform engineering roles
  • Strong Linux systems administration skills
  • Proficiency in scripting (Python and/or Bash)
  • Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Terraform, and public cloud platforms
  • Familiarity with data stores and messaging systems such as PostgreSQL, Redis, and Kafka
  • Experience with CI/CD tooling and a passion for improving build and deployment workflows
  • A pragmatic, delivery-focused mindset balanced with technical curiosity

Nice to Have

  • Exposure to Nix-based build environments
  • Experience working with hybrid or self-hosted infrastructure
  • Familiarity with GitOps tools, internal developer portals, or platform tooling
  • Experience with compiled languages or performance-sensitive systems
  • Interest in low-latency or performance engineering

Technology Environment

  • Languages: Python, Bash, Rust, Node.js
  • Datastores: PostgreSQL, Redis, Kafka
  • Infrastructure: Kubernetes, Terraform, public cloud, CI/CD tooling
  • Observability: Metrics, logging, tracing, and error monitoring platforms

Ways of Working & Culture

The organisation values ownership, collaboration, and high standards. Teams are ambitious, fast-moving, and supportive, with an emphasis on continuous improvement, knowledge sharing, and accountability.

Benefits & Working Model

  • Competitive salary and benefits package
  • Equity or long-term incentive options
  • Pension and comprehensive health coverage
  • Enhanced parental leave
  • Learning and development budget
  • Generous annual leave allowance
  • Hybrid working model
  • Opportunities for international remote working
