Job Title: Ansible Engineer

Context

• The client currently uses different types of automation and scripting to deploy containers to AKS and APIs in Azure APIM. They have recently decided to move to a central automation platform built on Red Hat Ansible.

Core Responsibilities

• Write automation in Ansible.
• Work with integrations including:
• Microsoft Azure
• ServiceNow
• Azure DevOps
• Rework existing automation scripting (PowerShell, Terraform, DevOps pipelines) and migrate to Ansible.
• Focus areas include:
• Setting up prerequisites on AKS and in Entra ID to deploy containers.
• Deploying and building containers.
• Deploying APIs.
• Creating Ansible playbooks to automate end‑to‑end container and API creation/deployment.
• Note: Not all automation needs to be rewritten in Ansible; some code will be called from the automation platform.

Technical Knowledge & Skills

• Strong expertise with Ansible automation platform.
• Knowledge of Azure DevOps and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with PowerShell and Terraform.
• Knowledge of Azure AKS and containerization.
• Knowledge of Azure APIM and APIs.
