Robert Half Technology is looking for a Cybersecurity Expert for one of its clients located in the Liège area.


Cybersecurity Lead | Europe, based in Liege


We are looking for a Cybersecurity Lead to play a central role in strengthening cybersecurity practices across multiple European entities. This position combines strategic oversight with hands-on involvement, contributing both to operational security and long-term cybersecurity initiatives.


Your role

  • Drive the deployment and continuous improvement of cybersecurity policies, standards and controls across European sites
  • Identify, assess and mitigate cyber risks through regular risk assessments, vulnerability analyses and security audits
  • Lead and coordinate incident response activities (investigation, containment, communication and remediation)
  • Collaborate closely with Global Security Operations and internal IT, Infrastructure and Operations teams
  • Contribute to major cybersecurity and regulatory initiatives, including NIS2
  • Promote cybersecurity awareness and best practices among local teams
  • Monitor and report on cybersecurity KPIs, incidents and compliance indicators
  • Manage security-related vendors and external service providers
  • Support the protection of industrial and OT environments in line with recognised standards (e.g. IEC 62443)


Your profile

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity or a related field
  • 5 to 10 years of experience in cybersecurity roles, ideally in industrial or operational environments
  • Strong knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks and regulations (ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR, NIS2)
  • Hands-on experience with security tools such as SIEM, firewalls, endpoint protection and vulnerability management solutions
  • Solid background in Windows and Unix/Linux environments
  • Experience with incident response, vulnerability remediation, patching and IDS/IPS
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work with diverse stakeholders
  • Professional proficiency in English; French is a plus
