We are looking for a tech support engineer who can solve tech problems independently by working with servers, networks, and professional video surveillance systems. In this role, you’ll support customers worldwide and collaborate closely with our developers and QA.
Note: Candidates must already reside in Latvia and hold a valid work permit/EU citizenship. We do not provide relocation or visa sponsorship.
What You’ll Do:
- Help customers set up and troubleshoot video management software and related products, resolving their problems in writing, via phone, or remote assistance sessions (English)
- Diagnose technical issues by analyzing system and software logs, report bugs, and communicate with our engineers and developers to resolve the user issues on remote systems
- Guide customers through installing and maintaining our software products for desired operation
- Configure and use relevant physical hardware (e.g., IP cameras, security panels) and partner software (e.g., video analytics, access control) in our Riga lab to test and document compatibility with our products
- Recommend optimal hardware/software setups based on customer needs and project requirements
- Build and test server hardware according to the specifications to host the video and data management software
What We’re Looking For:
- Education in IT or similar (complete or in progress)
- Solid knowledge of PC hardware and software, and network fundamentals
- Understanding of subnets, port forwarding, and VPN configurations
- Strong analytical mindset and a knack for independent troubleshooting
- Experience analyzing Windows Event Logs and troubleshooting Services
- Clear and fluent written/verbal English and Latvian
- Curiosity and eagerness to learn new systems
Great to Have:
- Prior experience as a technical support engineer
- CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, or similar certification
- Experience with security/CCTV/access control systems
- Familiarity with video codecs, compression, audio/video data formats
- Conversational Russian
