Project Manager – Banking Sector

Experis Luxembourg is looking for a Project Manager for one of its clients in the banking industry.

Your responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end IT banking projects (core banking, payments, digital banking, data, regulatory IT, etc.).
• Define project scope, deliverables, timelines, budget, and governance framework.
• Coordinate IT teams (developers, architects, QA, DevOps, security) as well as business stakeholders.
• Oversee development activities, system integrations, testing phases (SIT, UAT), and production releases.
• Identify and manage technical risks, dependencies, and impacts on existing architecture.
• Manage IT vendors and external partners (software providers, system integrators, consultants).
• Apply project methodologies such as Agile, Scrum, SAFe, or Waterfall depending on project needs.
• Ensure compliance with IT standards, security requirements, and banking regulatory constraints.
• Prepare and present project reporting (progress, budget, quality, risks) to IT committees and management.
• Contribute to digital transformation initiatives and continuous improvement efforts.

Your profile

• Master’s degree in computer science or equivalent.
• Proven experience in IT project management in the banking or financial sector.
• Strong understanding of IT environments (applications, integrations, APIs, cloud, or data platforms).
• Solid knowledge of at least one project methodology (Agile/Scrum, SAFe, Prince2, or PMI).
• Ability to coordinate technical teams and collaborate effectively with business stakeholders.
• Strong organizational, communication, and delivery-oriented mindset.
• Fluent English
