Graduate AI Engineer

We’re supporting a growing technology organisation in Lisbon that is continuing to invest heavily in its AI capability, with a particular focus on agentic AI systems and production-grade solutions.

They’re now looking to hire an AI Engineer to join their core AI function, working on the design and deployment of intelligent agent workflows and retrieval-augmented systems that support regulatory and operational use cases.

Location: Lisbon, Portugal (2-3 days on-site)

Salary: €45,000 - €68,000 DOE

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop agentic AI workflows for automation and decision support
• Build and optimise Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines
• Develop AI/ML models using Python and PyTorch
• Integrate LLMs and GenAI services into production systems
• Work on data ingestion, embedding, and vector search architectures
• Deploy and monitor AI services in cloud or production environments
• Collaborate with regulatory, risk, and operations stakeholders

Required Expertise:

• Strong programming skills in Python
• Hands-on experience with PyTorch for model development
• Proven experience building agentic AI systems / autonomous agent workflows
• Experience designing and implementing RAG architectures
• Background delivering AI solutions into production environments
• Experience working within RegTech or RegOps environments (Bonus)
• Project or Product Management skills (Bonus)
• Cloud platform experience (Bonus)

Education:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Computer Science, or a closely related field
