About Us

Mestrelab has established a global presence, with software sales in over 80 countries and a client list that includes many of the major pharmaceutical, biotech and chemical companies, as well as some of the most relevant government and academic laboratories worldwide. As part of SciY, the software division of Bruker, we collaborate closely with the other SciY and Bruker companies, working together to achieve our goals.

We offer a diversified job in an interdisciplinary project team with flat hierarchies and short processes, and a secure, unlimited employment relationship in an international group with flexible working hours and a wide range of benefits.

About the Role

As part of our DevOps Platform Engineering team, you work at the intersection of infrastructure and collaboration. The role combines technical ownership with strong communication and initiative. DevOps here is socio‑technical: enabling teams, improving workflows, and ensuring our shared platforms (CI/CD, build systems, cloud foundations, automation, artifact management) run efficiently and securely.

You design and operate key development platforms, help teams adopt them effectively, and communicate changes clearly. In addition to driving modernization initiatives, you handle day‑to‑day operational tasks—tickets, incidents, and service requests—acting as a reliable first point of contact to keep our development environment stable and productive.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys solving infrastructure challenges, collaborating closely with colleagues, and balancing long‑term improvements with operational work.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Engage with development teams to understand bottlenecks and support needs.
  • Drive platform improvements across CI/CD, cloud services, automation, and artifact management.
  • Maintain, document, and communicate best practices for shared development platforms.
  • Ensure reliability, security, and compliance in alignment with Bruker Global IT.
  • Handle operational tickets and incidents in a structured, service‑oriented manner and support colleagues with technical challenges.

Qualifications

  • Experience operating and troubleshooting Windows and Linux systems.
  • Familiarity with modern DevOps ecosystems (CI/CD, cloud, virtualization, IaC, monitoring).
  • Clear communication in English and German with technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
  • Comfortable working in socio‑technical environments and supporting users.
  • Commitment to an inclusive and respectful team culture.
  • Experience with Kubernetes is welcomed but not required

Equal Opportunity Statement

We are committed to diversity and inclusivity in our hiring practices.
