Scrum Master

A role in the IT services and enterprise software development sector supporting agile product teams, delivering customer-facing applications and digital platforms. The position sits within an on-site development environment focused on iterative delivery, continuous improvement, and cross-functional collaboration. This opportunity is based in India and requires full-time on-site presence to drive team-level execution and stakeholder alignment.

Role & Responsibilities

• Facilitate all Scrum ceremonies (daily stand-ups, sprint planning, reviews, retrospectives) and ensure they remain outcome-focused and time-boxed.
• Coach and mentor the delivery team and product owner on Scrum/Agile best practices to increase predictability, quality, and throughput.
• Remove impediments and escalate risks proactively to ensure uninterrupted sprint delivery and timely resolution of dependencies.
• Track and report key Agile metrics (velocity, sprint burndown, cycle time) and provide actionable insights to improve team performance.
• Coordinate cross-team dependencies, support release planning, and ensure alignment with product roadmaps and stakeholder priorities.
• Drive a culture of continuous improvement—capture retrospective actions, measure outcomes, and embed process improvements into team routines.
  
  

Skills & Qualifications

Must-Have

• Proven experience as a Scrum Master in software development teams with on-site availability in India.
• Strong practical knowledge of Scrum ceremonies, Agile principles and servant-leadership approach.
• Hands-on experience with JIRA and Confluence for backlog management, reporting and documentation.
• Ability to facilitate sprint planning, reviews and retrospectives and translate outcomes into measurable improvements.
• Track record of removing impediments, managing stakeholder expectations and coordinating cross-functional dependencies.
• Excellent metrics-driven mindset: velocity, burndown, cycle time, and continuous improvement frameworks.
  
  

Preferred

• Professional certification such as Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) or Professional Scrum Master (PSM).
• Experience with SAFe or scaled-agile implementations and program increment (PI) planning.
• Familiarity with other delivery tools such as Azure DevOps or advanced JIRA plugins (Portfolio/Advanced Roadmaps).
