We are seeking an Agile-focused Technical Scrum Manager to support a banking and financial services client delivering large-scale transformation across four strategic programmes: Salesforce Transformation, Payments Modernisation, Mobile Banking Transformation, and Legacy Platform Transformation. This role offers the chance to work within a newly created team focused on driving modern delivery practices, enhancing customer experience, and modernising core banking platforms.
As a servant leader, you will support up to three cross-functional agile teams delivering complex technology solutions across these transformation programmes. You will collaborate closely with Digital Product Owners, Technical Leads, and programme stakeholders to shape product vision, drive delivery roadmaps, manage and refine backlogs, and remove impediments impacting delivery. You will play a key role in improving team maturity, delivery predictability, and flow while championing agile best practice and continuous improvement across the organisation.
The role requires experience working within complex transformation initiatives such as enterprise Salesforce implementations, payment platform modernisation, mobile banking or digital channel delivery, and legacy system migration or modernisation. You will also support governance, reporting, and risk management requirements while contributing to the wider agile community and mentoring less experienced Scrum Masters.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Proven experience leading agile delivery teams within large-scale digital or platform transformation programmes
- Experience delivering within one or more of the following: Salesforce, Payments, Mobile Banking, or Legacy Platform transformation
- Strong knowledge of Scrum and Kanban with broader agile framework awareness (SAFe desirable)
- Experience managing multiple agile teams concurrently
- Strong understanding of software development lifecycle and DevOps environments
- Ability to coach teams and improve agile maturity, delivery predictability, and performance
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- Hands-on experience with agile tooling such as JIRA, Azure DevOps, or Confluence
- Banking or financial services experience preferred
- Client would consider London or Manchester as a location.
