Back End Developer - Python

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Backend Engineer with strong Python skills and a solid understanding of networking, Linux, and monitoring systems. The role involves enhancing existing code, building monitoring and alerting solutions, and integrating systems using APIs and open-source tools.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and support backend or automation solutions
• Work on existing legacy code (Python/Perl) and add new features
• Build custom monitoring and alerting scripts for network events
• Integrate APIs, open-source plugins, and RFC-based solutions
• Support network monitoring, troubleshooting, and automation tasks

Must Have Skills

• 5+ years of experience in software development (backend/full stack)
• Strong Python and Linux skills
• Experience with network automation and monitoring
• Good understanding of TCP/IP, routing, VLANs, NAT, firewalls
• SSH, Bash scripting, and configuration management (Ansible)
• Database experience: MySQL / PostgreSQL
• Knowledge of database performance tuning and replication concepts

Nice to Have Skills

• Experience with SDN, SNMP, telemetry, anomaly detection
• Knowledge of Perl and legacy systems
• Understanding of failover, redundancy, and Galera Cluster
