Our client is looking for a Senior Java Developer to take ownership of critical backend services. This role is ideal for an experienced engineer who enjoys working on production systems, shaping architecture, and mentoring others.

What You’ll Do

• Design, build, and maintain high-throughput Java services used in live hospitality environments
• Contribute to architectural decisions with a focus on performance, resilience, and scalability
• Build and maintain RESTful APIs and integrations with internal and third-party systems
• Work with cloud-based infrastructure and modern CI/CD pipelines
• Improve code quality, testing practices, and operational reliability
• Mentor developers and lead by example across the engineering team
• Participate in a rotating after-hours support roster to ensure platform reliability

What We’re Looking For

• Senior-level experience building commercial Java applications
• Strong knowledge of Java (11+), Spring / Spring Boot, and API design
• Experience with relational databases such as MySQL or PostgreSQL
• Exposure to front-end frameworks such as Vaadin, Angular, Ionic, or React (desirable)
• Comfortable with modern IDEs such as IntelliJ IDEA or Eclipse
• Experience working with cloud platforms and automated deployment pipelines
• A pragmatic, outcomes-focused mindset
