ACENSI BELGIUM is looking for his client an Senior Network Engineer (F/M/X)

Mission Context

You will join the Network team responsible for the design, security, operations, and evolution of IT and OT network infrastructures supporting 24/7 business-critical services across multiple European locations. The team operates in a complex environment combining datacenters, WAN, cloud connectivity, and industrial (OT) systems, and is heavily involved in transformation and modernization projects. The role requires a high level of autonomy, operational rigor, and security awareness, especially when preparing and executing changes in production environments.

Key Responsibilities

Network & Security Operations

• Operate and maintain IT and OT network infrastructures running 24/7.

• Prepare, execute, and validate network and security changes with a strong focus on stability and risk mitigation.

• Participate in the deployment, maintenance, and troubleshooting of network and security systems.

• Provide advanced incident analysis and resolution, including escalations.

• Support internal teams across Belgium and other European locations.

Project & Infrastructure Evolution

• Contribute to network modernization projects (WAN, datacenter, cloud connectivity).

• Support connectivity setup for new datacenters and cloud environments.

• Collaborate with application teams to support functional and technical evolutions.

• Apply automation where relevant to improve operational efficiency.

Technical Environment

You will work across the full network stack, from LAN to WAN, datacenter to cloud, in both IT and OT contexts, including:

• Network & Cloud

o Cisco ACI, Cisco SD-WAN

o Cisco ASR, ISR, Catalyst, Nexus

o Cisco Wireless

o Microsoft Azure

• Security

o Check Point firewalls (mandatory expertise)

o Palo Alto firewalls (plus)

o VPN, routing security, segmentation

• Monitoring & Access Control

o Zabbix

o Elastic

o Cisco ISE

o NAC, central syslog

• Automation & Identity

o Python and/or Ansible

o TACACS, RADIUS

Required Skills

Technical Skills (Must-have)

• In-depth firewall expertise, especially Check Point.

• Strong knowledge of routing & switching protocols (OSPF, ISIS, MST, etc.).

• Experience with cloud technologies.

• Experience with network automation using Python and/or Ansible.

• Knowledge of monitoring, NAC, and centralized logging tools.

• Hands-on experience with TACACS and RADIUS servers.

• Solid understanding of enterprise networking in IT and OT environments.

Languages

• Dutch or French: native / excellent (mandatory)

• English: fluent (mandatory)
