About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated (Senior) Network Engineer (m/w/d) to join our Network Team in Essen. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for the installation, configuration, and administration of our high-availability and secure network infrastructures across the Deichmann Group. Your expertise will contribute to maintaining and enhancing our modern network solutions, ensuring seamless connectivity and security across our extensive retail and online operations. As a key player, you will develop and operate innovative technologies based on CISCO and Infoblox, supporting our digital transformation initiatives. Your proactive approach will help us stay ahead of technological advancements, and your role as an innovator will be vital in implementing and integrating cutting-edge solutions that support our business objectives.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a completed IT-oriented or comparable technical education, complemented by extensive experience in LAN, WAN, WLAN, and the provisioning of complex network services. You should have several years of hands-on experience with CISCO-based network infrastructures and hold relevant certifications that validate your expertise. Strong team skills, a customer- and service-oriented mindset, and excellent communication abilities in both German and English are essential. Your analytical and structured approach to work, coupled with proven project management skills, will enable you to execute tasks efficiently and effectively. Additionally, a continuous interest in emerging technologies and a future-oriented mindset will be highly valued, ensuring you remain at the forefront of network innovations.

Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and manage high-availability and secure network infrastructures across the Deichmann Group, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
- Develop and operate modern network solutions leveraging CISCO technologies and Infoblox, aligning with business requirements and technological advancements.
- Monitor system performance continuously, implement improvements, and manage the lifecycle of network components to maintain high standards of security and efficiency.
- Manage the CISCO ACI environment within the company's dedicated data center, ensuring seamless integration and operation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements, provide technical expertise, and support the implementation of new network solutions.
- Act as a technological innovator by researching and introducing modern network technologies and practices to enhance our infrastructure.
- Document network configurations, procedures, and incident reports to ensure transparency and facilitate future troubleshooting and upgrades.
