Front-End Developer (React / Next.js) (32–40 hours)

Location: Oostzaan (hybrid, 3/5 days on-site)

BONO is growing fast. Our goal is to become Europe’s one-stop shop for supplements: all brands, all goals, in one place. We take a tech-first approach. Most of our systems are built in-house, and our founding team has a strong technical background.

Every day, thousands of customers across Europe use our platform. Our next goal is scaling BONO to €100 million in revenue. 

To support our next phase of growth, we’re looking for a front-end developer who enjoys building fast, accessible, and user-friendly web applications. You’ll work on real products used every day, together with a small and motivated team that values quality, ownership, and collaboration.

What you’ll do

• Build, maintain, and improve user-facing applications using React, Next.js, and TypeScript
• Develop and evolve a component library and design system, with a focus on performance, accessibility, and consistency
• Work closely with back-end developers to integrate APIs cleanly, including state management and error handling
• Take ownership of front-end performance and accessibility across key user flows
• Add instrumentation and run A/B tests, turning insights into practical improvements
• Contribute to internal tools such as admin and operational dashboards
• Help keep our codebase healthy through testing, code reviews, and CI/CD improvements

What you bring

• Experience building production web applications with React (Next.js experience is a plus)
• Comfortable with TypeScript, modern state/data-fetching patterns, and Tailwind
• Experience working with REST and/or GraphQL APIs
• Strong focus on performance, accessibility, and usability
• Familiarity with testing tools like Jest, React Testing Library, or Playwright
• Clear communication and a product-minded approach
• Willingness to work from our Oostzaan office at least 3 days per week (with flexibility when needed)

Nice to have

• Experience with e-commerce, such as Shopify (storefront or headless)
• Familiarity with design systems, analytics/experimentation, SEO basics, or custom Shopify apps
• Some exposure to .NET back-ends
