Cloud Engineer Consultant

We are seeking a Cloud Engineer Consultant to join our Technology & Transformation team. This role will drive Deloitte’s cloud and AI solutions in the market, creating measurable value for our clients.

What you'll do:

As a Cloud Engineer Consultant, you will:

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent education/work experience
• 4-6 years of hands-on cloud architecture, design, and implementation experience
• Professional-level certification in at least one cloud provider: AWS Solutions Architect Associate/Professional, OR, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, OR, Google Cloud Architect
• Production experience with Infrastructure as Code: Terraform, CloudFormation, Pulumi or similar
• Hands-on CI/CD pipeline implementation and maintenance: Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, GitLab CI, OR CircleCI
• Proficiency in container technologies and orchestration: Docker, AND Kubernetes (or ECS/EKS/AKS/GKE)
• Strong cloud fundamentals across core services: Compute, Storage, Networking, Databases (SQL and NoSQL)
• Proficiency in at least one programming/scripting language: Python, Go, PowerShell, OR Bash
• Hands-on experience with microservices architecture patterns
• Monitoring, logging, and observability tools: Prometheus/Grafana, CloudWatch, Azure Monitor, OR ELK Stack
• Practical knowledge of cloud security best practices: IAM, encryption, network security, compliance principles
• Version control proficiency: Git and modern Git workflows
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills

Strongly Desired Qualifications

• Experience with multiple cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Event-driven and serverless architecture experience: Lambda, Azure Functions, Cloud Run, OR Step Functions
• Advanced troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills
• FinOps and cloud cost optimization experience
• Hands-on experience with service mesh technologies:
• Istio, Linkerd, Consul or similar
• Infrastructure automation and configuration management: Ansible, Chef, Puppet, OR CloudFormation templates
• Experience with infrastructure security scanning and compliance tooling
• Familiarity with data streaming or event processing: Kafka, Kinesis, Azure Event Hubs, OR Pub/Sub
