About The Role

We are seeking two results-oriented Data Science professionals to join our team, focusing on retail, loyalty, and customer analytics. The primary responsibility of this role is to design and implement analytical measurement frameworks, develop advanced statistical models, and build causal inference frameworks to support data-driven decision-making. The successful candidates will perform customer and program analytics to optimize loyalty programs, enhance customer engagement, and improve marketing efficiency. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to generate actionable insights, construct predictive models, and validate analytical results to inform strategic initiatives. Candidates should possess a strong background in statistics, causal modeling, and experimental design, with the ability to translate complex data into compelling narratives that drive business value. The role offers an exciting opportunity to influence key aspects of the retail organization’s strategic growth and operational excellence.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree or PhD in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, or a related quantitative discipline
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in developing and deploying data science solutions
  • Experience within retail businesses or loyalty programs is preferred
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or SAS
  • Extensive experience querying and analyzing large datasets using SQL, Spark, or similar tools
  • Strong understanding of statistical techniques and their application to business problems
  • Familiarity with cloud-based data structures and tools like Databricks and Azure Synapse
  • Proven ability to interpret, synthesize, and communicate complex models and analyses to diverse audiences
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with strong presentation capabilities
  • Ability to work independently, manage ambiguity, and resolve complex problems effectively

Responsibilities

  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of retail operations, loyalty programs, store management, and marketing initiatives
  • Design and implement market, store, and user-level test plans with clear success criteria
  • Research and apply advanced statistical methodologies to support study design, sample size calculations, and analysis planning
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to generate insights and establish measurement frameworks that drive business improvements
  • Construct and refine predictive models to optimize test outcomes, reduce costs, and increase confidence in results
  • Validate and analyze test data from multiple perspectives to produce compelling, fact-based narratives
  • Develop causal inference, statistical, and machine learning models aimed at enhancing customer engagement and marketing performance
  • Actively contribute to the development and execution of the analytics strategy within the Advanced Analytics team
  • Present analytical findings and insights to business partners, translating complex technical concepts into understandable language
