Job Title: Software Engineer

We're seeking a talented Software Engineer for a contract role until December 31, 2026, with potential for extension or permanence.

About the Role:

Design and develop high-impact full-stack features using JavaScript, PHP(Hack), and Python. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable products on time and adhere to industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the design and communication of complex features and system architectures.
• Collaborate closely with product, design, support, and cross-functional teams to define project specifications.
• Develop, test (unit and end-to-end), and deliver complex project features within established timelines.
• Design and develop front-end interfaces, APIs, and backend systems in languages such as JavaScript, PHP(Hack), and Python.
• Build consumer-facing products and features at scale.
• Adhere to and master development standards, increasing your expertise with complex projects.
• Partner with Product, Platform, and Operations teams to build and scale an automated operational platform.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience with the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) of full-stack projects impacting the industry.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work across functions to drive solutions.
• Effective collaboration with and influence over senior engineers and cross-organizational teams.
• Track record of delivering complex projects on time.
• Experience leading large, cross-functional engineering efforts.
• Proficiency with decentralized source control tools like Git and Mercurial in large team environments.
• Expertise in modern JavaScript frameworks such as React, Vue, or Angular.

Preferred:

• Bachelor’s or higher degree in Computer Science or STEM fields.
• Experience developing high-quality enterprise products.
• Skilled in crafting large, efficient SQL queries with optimized performance.
• Familiarity with multiple dynamic and compiled programming languages in production.
• Experience working within Support organizations.
• Background in building privacy and ads-related products.
