Role overview

Grid Dynamics is looking for a Backend Lead to take ownership of enterprise backend integrations for an agentic AI platform.

This role is primarily backend-focused with a strong emphasis on integrating AI tools with external enterprise systems such as Adobe Experience Manager, Confluence, and other corporate platforms. You will design and operate backend services and data pipelines that securely ingest, synchronize, and serve enterprise knowledge to AI agents.

Key focus of the role (critical)

• Integration of AI services with third-party enterprise systems (Adobe, Confluence, LMS, CMS, HR systems)
• Backend ownership of data ingestion and synchronization pipelines for AI knowledge bases
• Enterprise-grade authentication, authorization, and RBAC
• Secure access to corporate content for AI agents

Responsibilities

• Lead backend design and development for an agentic AI platform
• Integrate AI solutions with enterprise systems (Adobe Experience Manager, Confluence, and similar platforms)
• Build and maintain data pipelines to preprocess and curate content for AI-driven search and retrieval
• Design and implement RBAC models aligned with employee roles and organizational hierarchy
• Ensure scalability, security, and reliability of backend services
• Own service-to-service communication patterns and backend architecture decisions
• Collaborate with AI, DevOps, and product teams and provide technical leadership

Requirements

• Strong backend engineering background with production experience
• Hands-on experience integrating enterprise systems and third-party APIs
• Deep understanding of authentication and authorization (RBAC, SSO, identity providers)
• Experience designing scalable, cloud-native backend systems
• Solid knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases
• Proven ability to lead backend architecture in complex environments
• English level B2 or higher
