Our client is a leading Australian financial services organisation providing banking, lending and digital financial solutions to consumers, businesses and institutional clients.

About the role:
Our client is looking for a skilled Front‑End Developer to work across multiple squads, contributing to the design and development of high‑quality applications using React, JavaScript/TypeScript, and modern cloud‑native engineering practices.
You’ll collaborate with technical leaders, influence development standards, and help deliver scalable microservices‑based solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support multiple squads through the full technical development lifecycle.
  • Partner with technology leaders to align with broader engineering direction.
  • Design, develop, review, and maintain Java and React.js application code.
  • Build scalable microservices‑based products in an Agile environment.
  • Translate business requirements into robust, user‑focused applications.
  • Work with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps tooling, and cloud‑based delivery practices.
  • Ensure strong coding standards, testing coverage, and debugging practices.
  • Participate in peer reviews and contribute to architectural decision‑making.
Required Skills & Experience
  • 5+ years in software development with strong JavaScript ES6/TypeScript skills.
  • Solid experience with React.js (Hooks, Saga) or similar frameworks (Angular, Vue).
  • Strong HTML5, CSS3, Styled Components, Bootstrap, Foundation, jQuery, JSON.
  • Experience designing React applications and working with CI/CD pipelines.
  • Hands‑on knowledge of Docker and NGINX.
  • Familiarity with Jest, Cypress, or similar testing tools.
  • Exposure to AI‑assisted development tools (Cursor, GitHub Copilot).
  • Experience with AWS and cloud‑native development.
  • Understanding of RESTful APIs, microservices; GraphQL desirable.
  • Ability to write clean, maintainable, well‑documented code.
  • Experience in the Banking or Financial Services industry is preferred.
