Mission Overview

The Senior Network Security Engineer plays a critical role in protecting and securing the organization’s network infrastructure. The position is part of a senior technical team responsible for the design, implementation, monitoring, and continuous improvement of network security solutions across on-premise and cloud environments.

Key Responsibilities

1. Network Security Design & Implementation

• Design and deploy network security strategies to protect against cyber threats and unauthorized access.

• Configure, operate, and maintain security devices such as:

o Firewalls

o VPN solutions

o Proxies (forward and reverse)

o Load balancers

o Web Application Firewalls (WAF)

• Secure network connectivity including ExpressRoute, ISP connections, and WiFi infrastructures.

2. Network Monitoring & Security Operations

• Continuously monitor network performance and security events.

• Detect, analyze, and respond to security incidents.

• Perform regular security audits and vulnerability assessments.

• Ensure compliance with network security standards and best practices.

3. Incident & Problem Management

• Take the lead in resolving complex network security incidents.

• Perform root cause analysis and propose corrective and preventive actions.

• Collaborate with other technical teams to restore services and reinforce security posture.

• Participate in on-call rotations and, when required, intervene on site (including night operations).

4. Automation & Operational Efficiency

• Automate network and security operations using scripting tools to improve efficiency and reliability.

• Contribute to continuous improvement of operational processes and tooling.

Operational Constraints & Availability

• In case of P1 incidents, ability (where possible) to be on site within 30 minutes.

Q&A–Mandatory Confirmation

Candidates must be able to confirm:

• Proven experience with Palo Alto Firewalls, including complex operations performed autonomously.

• Ability to manage night operations on site.

• Availability to be on site 3 times per week.

• Possession of Network Security certifications (if applicable: which ones and since when).

• Ability to reach the site within 30 minutes in case of P1 incidents, when possible.
