AI Engineer – Finland (Hybrid)
We are looking for an AI Engineer to join a small, experienced team building secure, high‑performance AI infrastructure for organisations that work with sensitive and regulated data.
You’ll be part of a group focused on creating real, production‑ready systems for deploying and running large language models in customer environments, whether on‑premise, in private cloud, or in fully isolated setups.
About the role
You’ll work closely with the Head of AI on the core components of our platform. This includes improving our RAG pipeline, developing our agent framework, building model‑serving capabilities, and creating the internal tools that support our engineering and data teams. This is a hands‑on role with a lot of ownership and very little bureaucracy. Engineers talk directly with customers, ship to production regularly, and shape the direction of the product.
What you’ll be doing
- Designing and improving RAG systems, including retrieval techniques, chunking, reranking and evaluation
- Expanding agent capabilities using Model Context Protocol and our internal frameworks
- Helping design a unified API layer that connects our AI endpoints under one interface
- Building tools for experiment tracking, model evaluation and other MLOps needs
- Working with open‑source and self‑hosted LLMs, including deployment, optimisation and fine‑tuning
- Speaking directly with customers when needed to understand how the systems behave in real use
- Building internal and customer‑facing agents that solve practical problems
What makes you a good fit
You understand the fundamentals of machine learning and large language models, not just the high‑level frameworks. You’ve built and shipped real systems to production and feel comfortable writing backend code, working with APIs and thinking through system design. You work with a high level of ownership and like to move from problem to solution without waiting for step‑by‑step instructions. Above all, you care about building tools that people actually use.
What we’re looking for
- Strong Python engineering skills (Go is a bonus)
- Experience with RAG systems, AI agents or LLM‑based applications
- Good understanding of transformers, embeddings, retrieval methods and evaluation
- Experience with model serving and deployment using frameworks such as vLLM or Hugging Face tools
- Familiarity with vector databases like Milvus, pgvector or Chroma
- Interest or experience in MLOps, experiment tracking and CI/CD for AI
- Comfortable working with containerised environments and basic Kubernetes workflows
What we offer
- Competitive salary based on experience
- Equity
- Lunch benefit and health insurance
- International team where English is the working language
- Hybrid work arrangement with two remote days each week
If you want to build real AI systems that make a difference for customers and enjoy working in a focused, highly capable team, we’d love to hear from you.
