One of the leading Insurance companies in Japan are looking for an experience full-stack engineer to support their system and platform modernize efforts.

Position: Full-stack Engineer

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced fullstack engineer to our development team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in modern web technologies, particularly ReactJS, SpringBoot, Containers, Azure DevOps, and No-SQL/RDBMS Database. They will be responsible for the development of highly resilient web applications that meet our business needs and customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Designing, developing, and implementing web applications using ReactJS, SpringBoot, Thyme Leaf and other relevant technologies.
  • Build quality that are resilient, debt free and not vulnerable while meeting quality standards and project timelines.
  • Participate in the whole application development lifecycle, from concept and design to testing and deployment.
  • Develop and maintain documentation for system architecture, design decisions, and coding standards.
  • Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices that would ensure a scalable & resilient system.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues of the app, platform & infra.
  • Ensure applications are developed in a containerized environment, leveraging Azure Cloud services for scalability and performance.
  • Adopt continuous integration and deployment processes using Azure DevOps, ensuring smooth and frequent releases.
  • Create and Maintain databases, ensuring data integrity, security, and performance.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvement of our development processes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management, design, and operations, to define project specifications and requirements.
  • Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends to incorporate best practices into development processes.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • At least 5+ years of experience in web application development, with a proven track record of building web-based apps/APIs/microservices.
  • Expertise in ReactJS, SpringBoot, and containerization technologies.
  • Strong experience with Azure Cloud services, Azure DevOps, and database management.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Fluent in English and Japanese (JLPTN2)
