Senior DevOps Engineer

In a global, cross-functional environment, the PCR Software Development chapter is responsible for developing and maintaining integrated, unified, and reliable software solutions for Molecular Diagnostics Systems. By leveraging advanced capabilities, in-depth knowledge, and strong internal & external partnerships, we drive accuracy, efficiency, and agility in innovating the Molecular Lab experience for our customers and patients throughout their journey.

The Perfect Candidate:
As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you will be part of our shared service DevOps team playing a pivotal role in designing, developing, and maintaining software solutions. You will enable our Molecular Lab network to deliver accurate and timely diagnostic solutions, and your contributions will empower our customers to make a real impact in patient care. For this we need someone with proven experience in DevOps with one or more technologies (e.g. Git, containerization, virtualization, CI/CD pipeline).

Tasks & Responsibilities:
• Develop and maintain DevOps pipelines, infrastructure and documentation by applying in-depth technical knowledge and problem-solving skills, while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards for medical software
• Drive the timely delivery of stable, secure and scalable systems, meeting organizational standards and customer requirements while enabling faster development cycles and improved reliability
• Enhances efficiency, effectiveness, and performance by prioritising informed decision-making
• Communicate complex technical concepts effectively, fostering an environment of collaboration and continuous learning within and across diverse and intercultural teams
• Empower your team members to take ownership of their work and leading by example to foster teamwork and mentorship
• Within the team you are able to work independently within guidelines and policies, and receives minimal guidance

Must Haves:
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience in a specialized field related to DevOps development or engineering 
• Proven experience in DevOps with one or more technologies (e.g. Git, containerization, virtualization, CI/CD pipeline) 
• Capable of solving complex issues creatively and effectively, using a multi-faceted approach based on thorough analysis to resolve complex technical challenges 
• Excellent communication skills in English with the ability to foster an inclusive and diverse environment as well as collaborate effectively within and across teams 
• Motivation to make an impact to your fellow team members, our company, our customers and our patients
• Fosters trust and mutual respect within the chapter and across functions
