Our client in Skövde is strengthening its development team and is now looking for a skilled Software Engineer with experience in OpenVMS, parallel processing, and system development.
🔍 About the Role
As a Software Engineer, you will work primarily on the VMS platform, developing and supporting business‑critical applications. You will also contribute to our delivery for the GTO Powertrain Engine Plant, ensuring stable, high‑quality solutions for production environments.

⭐ Your Key Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and support applications on the OpenVMS platform
- Participate in requirement breakdown, solution discussions, and system design
- Work across both frontend and backend components
- Interact directly with key users, capturing needs and transforming them into working solutions
- Support deliveries to the GTO Powertrain Engine Plant
- Work with parallel processing solutions in performance‑critical systems
- Ensure high‑quality development through analysis, unit testing, and continuous integration
🧩 Required Skills & Competence
- Proven experience in system development (5-6 years)
- Experience with parallel processing
- Ability and willingness to work in both frontend and backend
- Comfortable with direct user interaction
- Experience participating in requirement and refinement sessions
