Back End Developer

We are looking for a Backend Software Engineer for our partner who develops mission-critical software and foundational technologies used in secure, scalable, real-world systems. Their work spans advanced web platforms, AI-assisted infrastructure, and long-term R&D projects designed for reliability, performance, and maintainability at scale.

They are currently building a next-generation, AI-enhanced no-code platform that enables anyone to create secure, production-ready digital business platforms in minutes. It is not a prototype tool or a “vibe coding” wrapper. It is a deeply engineered foundation, battle-tested by hundreds of thousands of users, designed for real businesses operating at scale.

What You Will Build

As part of the backend foundation team, you will design and maintain the systems that power a global, production-grade SaaS platform, including:

• Secure, scalable backend services supporting core modules such as e-commerce, e-learning, memberships, community, payments, and analytics

• Specialized microservices supporting advanced platform functions such as AI-driven analytics, image and video processing pipelines, AI integrations, security assessments, and automated testing and validation systems.

• Backend APIs and internal services designed for extensibility, long-term maintainability, and controlled evolution

• High-performance database architectures, query optimization, and multi-tenant SaaS data models

• Authentication, authorization, and security-first backend patterns aligned with enterprise and compliance requirements

• Cryptography, secure data handling, and protection of sensitive business and customer information

• Infrastructure-level services for automation, deployment workflows, monitoring, and system reliability

• Backend primitives and architectural foundations that junior developers and AI tools can safely extend

Your work will directly impact the platforms reliability, security posture, and ability to scale globally.

What We’re Looking For

• Strong proficiency in PHP and Python, with experience building production-grade backend systems

• Solid knowledge of SQL, relational database design, and scalable data modeling practices

• Experience developing APIs and services within both monolithic architectures and microservice environments

• Strong understanding of backend security principles, including authentication flows, encryption, and secure coding practices

• Familiarity with Linux environments, shell scripting, and backend automation workflows

• Experience working with SaaS infrastructure concepts such as multi-tenancy, billing flows, usage tracking, and platform reliability

• Prior exposure to CMS, LMS, or e-commerce systems in production environments

• Strong systems thinking with the ability to design maintainable, extensible backend foundations rather than isolated features

• Comfortable using AI tools and coding assistants as productivity enhancers, while maintaining strong engineering judgment beyond generated code

• Strong understanding of automated testing practices, with the ability to design and maintain test suites for high-throughput, production-grade platforms and services

• Meticulous engineering mindset with a focus on clean, maintainable, and well-tested code

• Ability to work independently in an R&D environment while collaborating closely with a multidisciplinary team

• Sufficient English proficiency to work with global documentation, tooling, and engineering resources

Nice to Have

• Experience with C and/or Rust for performance-critical services or low-level components
