Head of Technology (Mobile)

We are looking for a Head of Technology (Mobile) to join our fast-paced and self-accountable team that delivers enterprise-level products for global markets. You will work with IT consultants, delivery managers, QA teams, Backend Engineers, UI/UX designers and mobile developers to deliver best-in-class digital products.

What will you do?

• Lead and mentor mobile developers, fostering a culture of technical excellence, collaboration, continuous learning and improvement
• Drive the technical vision of mobile projects, ensuring scalability and maintainability
• Advocate and implement modern mobile technologies and methodologies
• Align mobile development processes with business goals to accelerate project execution and successful delivery to clients
• Ensure budgeting is aligned with company goals and mobile team capacity is utilized efficiently
• Support team members' career growth, helping them define their professional paths and providing guidance on skill development
• Proactively monitor and optimize key performance indicators (KPIs), including delivery timelines, code quality, and team productivity, profitability, utilization
• Drive efficiency in development and delivery processes through workflow optimization and continuous process improvement supported by cutting edge technologies
• Act as a bridge between technology and business teams, ensuring smooth collaboration and strategic alignment
• Encourage knowledge sharing within and across teams through tech talks, documentation, and best practices
• Participate in code reviews to ensure high-quality software (when necessary)

What are we looking for?

Domain Expertise

• Deep understanding of the mobile technology landscape, including native iOS (Swift/SwiftUI), Android (Kotlin/Jetpack), and cross-platform frameworks (React Native, Flutter)
• Strong grasp of mobile application architectures (MVVM, MVP, Clean Architecture), RESTful APIs, and client-server communication patterns
• Ability to evaluate emerging technologies and trends, translating them into actionable technology roadmaps
• Strong commitment to Clean Code principles, software craftsmanship, and building maintainable, scalable solutions
• Understanding of CI/CD practices, DevOps culture, and mobile-specific release management

Leadership

• Leadership style that fosters psychological safety, inclusion, and high-performing team culture
• Experience acting as a career coach, supporting mobile engineers and solution / software architects in defining career paths and continuously developing their skills
• Ability to inspire and motivate teams while maintaining accountability for results

Business & Financial Awareness

• Strong experience managing P&L awareness, budgets, resource allocation, and capacity planning for technology teams
• Ability to align technology investments with business objectives and demonstrate ROI
• Experience with KPI-driven management including delivery timelines, profitability, utilization and team productivity

Communication

• Exceptional communication skills to effectively engage with both technical teams and business stakeholders
• Proven ability to translate complex technical concepts into business value propositions
• Experience building and maintaining strong relationships across organizational boundaries

AI Adoption & Innovation

• Strong interest and awareness in leveraging AI-powered development tools (GitHub Copilot, Claude, Cursor, etc.) to enhance team productivity
• Vision for integrating AI capabilities into mobile applications and development workflows

Delivery Excellence

• Strong project and delivery management skills with ability to oversee multiple initiatives and ensure predictable delivery
• Proven experience working in and leading remote, agile development environments (Scrum/Kanban)
• Fluent English proficiency is a must
