Data Ops Engineer | Remote - Candidate must be based in Poland | Employment contract or B2B available

The Opportunity

Our client is seeking a versatile and proactive Data Ops Engineer to bridge the gap between development and production. You will be the backbone of a brand-new data platform built on Snowflake and DBT within the Azure ecosystem.

While your primary focus is "Productionising"—leveraging Terraform and Azure DevOps to ensure the platform is scalable, automated, and resilient—you are also a capable Data Engineer. When the pipeline workload ramps up, you’ll jump into the trenches to build out Azure Data Factory (ADF) flows and ensure the CI/CD pipelines supporting them are world-class. You aren't just an observer; you are the engine that keeps the data flowing reliably.

Key Responsibilities

  • Platform Automation & IaC – Use Terraform to manage and scale the Azure environment, ensuring "Infrastructure as Code" is at the heart of everything we do.
  • Productionising & CI/CD – Own the Azure DevOps lifecycle. Build, maintain, and optimize deployment pipelines for Snowflake, DBT, and ADF.
  • Hybrid Data Engineering – Step in to develop and optimize Azure Data Factory (ADF) pipelines and ingestion flows during peak development cycles.
  • Operational Excellence – Implement robust monitoring, alerting, and logging across the stack to ensure high availability and data integrity.
  • Collaboration – Work closely with Data Engineers and Architects to ensure code is "production-ready" from day one, acting as the guardian of best practices.

What You’ll Bring

  • Strong Ops Mindset: Deep experience with Azure DevOps (pipelines, boards, releases) and Terraform for infrastructure automation.
  • Azure Data Expertise: Hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory (ADF) and a solid understanding of the broader Azure data suite.
  • Data Tech Literacy: Exposure to (or a strong desire to master) Snowflake and DBT.
  • Coding Skills: Proficiency in Python for automation scripts and data processing tasks.
  • The "Hybrid" Spirit: You are just as comfortable debugging a failing Terraform plan as you are tweaking a data mapping in ADF.

This is a unique chance to shape the operational DNA of a global business handling large amounts of data. You’ll be the "special ops" of the data team, ensuring the new Snowflake platform is not just built, but built to last.

If you’re a DevOps-minded engineer who still loves the "Data" side of the house, apply today!
