QA Engineer – Performance Testing

Location: On-site - Abu Dhabi

Duration: 1 year (project based)

Job Responsibilities:

• Plan and execute end-to-end performance testing for enterprise-level backend platforms.
• Define performance test objectives and key metrics aligned with business and engineering goals.
• Develop, debug, and optimize JMeter scripts for complex test scenarios.
• Execute distributed and high-concurrency load tests to simulate realistic traffic patterns.
• Identify system bottlenecks through detailed performance analysis and root cause investigation.
• Collaborate with backend developers, DevOps, and QA teams to improve system scalability and resilience.
• Continuously refine performance testing strategy, tools, and automation pipelines.
• Experience in performance testing over common protocols such as HTTP, WebSocket, gRPC, and Dubbo is a strong plus.

Job Requirements:

Education: Bachelor's degree or higher in computer science or a related field.

Experience:

• Hands-on experience with JMeter, including scripting, test planning, and distributed execution.
• Strong knowledge of performance testing methodology and bottleneck analysis.
• Familiar with backend architecture and system metrics (CPU, memory, GC, I/O, network).
• Practical experience with protocols such as HTTP, WebSocket, gRPC, or Dubbo is a strong advantage.
• Proficient in analyzing server logs, APM tools, and monitoring dashboards.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and integration of performance tests into release process.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills, attention to detail, and data-driven mindset.
